Getting started with Refenture

Refenture is a referral partnership platform. It connects Vendors (companies that sell to other businesses) with Referral Partners (senior professionals who regularly introduce companies to service providers they trust).

This page walks through the basics of how the platform works, for both sides.

For Referral Partners

You're probably already making introductions informally. Here's what happens when you make one through Refenture instead.

  1. Connect with a Vendor. Accept an invite from a Vendor, or invite one you already recommend informally.
  2. Review commission terms. Each Vendor publishes commission plans on their profile. Pick one that fits the referral you have in mind.
  3. Create a referral. Pick the customer contact and the Vendor contact. The Vendor reviews and accepts (or declines with a reason).
  4. Make the introduction. Email, phone, LinkedIn, in person, however you normally would. Click "I've made the introduction" when it's done.
  5. Get paid. When a deal closes, the Vendor pays your commission per your agreement. Refenture's upcoming Money in bank service will add tracking, consolidated monthly payouts across all Vendors, and year-end tax summaries.

For Vendors

Vendors use Refenture to build a structured Referral Partner network.

  1. Create a company profile. Describe what you sell and who your ideal customer is.
  2. Publish a commission plan. Set the terms you'll offer Referral Partners: percentage, duration, bonuses. You can publish multiple plans, or create campaign-specific ones.
  3. Invite Referral Partners. Invite the Referral Partners you already work with so they can start sending referrals.
  4. Review referrals. When a Referral Partner proposes a referral, accept or decline (with a reason). Accepted referrals trigger an auto-generated agreement.
  5. Close the deal. Continue your normal sales process. Refenture tracks the linked contract and your Referral Partner's commission.
